Introduction

Welcome to PantryPlanner! By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

PantryPlanner is operated by a sole proprietor. Any references to "we", "us", or "our" refer to the founder of PantryPlanner.

1. Account Registration

You can register with us using either Google or by providing your email and setting a password. Once registered, you will have access to our features.

2. Account Management

You can edit your name and avatar in your account settings. If you wish to delete your account, all your data will be permanently removed, including your name, avatar, email, and any stored information such as pantry items, shopping lists, and meal plans.

3. Service Availability

PantryPlanner is intended for users in Australia, with specific price comparisons from Coles and Woolworths. However, it is accessible to users from any location. There are no specific geographic restrictions for using the platform.

4. Use of the Platform

PantryPlanner is primarily for personal use. Any content you upload or interact with (such as recipes, pantry items, and meal plans) will only be visible to you. The platform does not allow for public sharing or social interaction like a social media platform, so your actions and content are private.

5. User-Generated Content

You may add your own recipes and customise your pantry, meal plans, and shopping lists. You are solely responsible for the content you create. By using PantryPlanner, you confirm that any content you submit does not infringe on any intellectual property rights, is not unlawful, and does not violate these Terms.

We do not review or moderate user content unless required to by law or in response to reports of misuse.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

We collect and store your name, email, and avatar when you register with Google. If you register using email and password, we store your email and password securely. This information is used to personalise your experience. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Cookies are used on the website to keep you signed in and improve your user experience. You can control your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Data is securely stored with Supabase, which provides robust security measures such as Row-Level Security (RLS) to protect your information.

7. Payment and Subscriptions

PantryPlanner offers a free version with basic features and an optional paid subscription for additional capabilities.

Pricing and features of the subscription are clearly outlined on our pricing page. Subscription payments are processed securely through a third-party provider.

By subscribing, you agree to recurring charges until cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and access to paid features will remain available until the end of the billing cycle. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

8. Changes to Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal obligations. In the event of any material changes, users will be notified via email or through prominent notice within the platform.

9. Third-Party Supermarket Data

PantryPlanner uses publicly available product and pricing data from major Australian supermarket websites (e.g., Woolworths, Coles, and ALDI) to estimate ingredient and recipe costs for the user's benefit. This information is presented for informational and educational purposes only.

PantryPlanner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these retailers. All trademarks, product images, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Prices, availability, and promotions may vary and should be confirmed directly with the retailer.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PantryPlanner disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation and availability of the platform. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or inaccuracies in third-party information such as product pricing or availability.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service will be governed by and construed according to the law of Victoria and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
